Georgia Attorney Disbarred For Multiple Trust Account Violations

An attorney in Georgia was disbarred Tuesday after the state’s supreme court ruled that he knowingly used funds in his trust account for his personal use and failed to respond to the State Bar’s investigation.

The State Bar sought to disbar Joseph Arrington II based on allegations that he paid his Bar dues with a check drawn on his trust account, made deposits to his trust account from his personal account, and made payments from his trust account that appeared to be related to personal expenses. Arrington didn’t respond to the investigation, according to court records.
