Gay Michigan Restaurant Worker Lacks Sex Bias, Retaliation Proof

A gay man failed to show a Michigan craft brewery delayed promoting him because of sex stereotypes or his sexual orientation, or that it fired him for complaining about bias, the Sixth Circuit ruled Tuesday.

Ryan Boshaw said his Midland Brewing Co. supervisor told him he needed to alter his appearance, hide his same-sex relationship, and act more masculine if he wanted to advance. He also said he felt pressured to comply.
