Garden of Life LLC may be spared from online customers’ proposed class action over a data breach they say gave criminals access to credit card and other personal information per a Florida magistrate judge’s recommendation.
The complaint from the nutrition and supplements company’s website consumers should be rejected because the class lacks jurisdiction to sue, Magistrate Judge Bruce E. Reinhart of the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida said in a report and recommendation to District Judge Rodney Smith on the company’s dismissal motion.
