The editor, who covered the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks for USA Today’s “Seahawks Wire” site, will receive $75,000—including $30,000 for her attorneys—under the deal, according to documents filed in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia Wednesday. The settlement follows an April court decision rejecting the editor’s request to conditionally certify the case as a Fair Labor Standards Act collective.
