Game Maker Says Kids’ Chalk Buyer, Walmart Infringing Its Marks

Illinois-based game and toy manufacturer, Regal Games LLC, is suing a German business that acquired the rights to sell its line of children’s chalk products after the company allegedly went beyond their agreement by infringing Regal’s branding and logo trademarks.

Regal is suing SellerX8—and several similarly named defendants under the umbrella name, SellerX Germany—as well as Walmart, for allegedly selling its children’s chalk products that incorporate the “by Regal” phrase, or other associated trademarks, thereby misleading consumers and creating a false connection or affiliation, according to the complaint, filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Southern District of ...
