Gabrielle Union Wins Preliminary Injunction of Trademark Use

Actress Gabrielle Union, through two of her business entities, won a preliminary injunction against Saadia Group LLC to stop use of a “Gabrielle Union” trademark after its license expired.

The US District Court for the Southern District of New York granted the injunction and set a $250,000 bond on Tuesday.

Union launched a line with New York & Company in 2017 and exapanded it to Fashion to Figure in 2019 . After the two brands went bankrupt, Saadia acquired them. In 2021, Union negotiated an agreement through her company Flawless Style LLC that allowed Saadia to relaunch the line as ...
