Owners of a now-defunct funeral home in Colorado who are accused of grossly mishandling human remains have agreed to plead guilty to federal fraud charges, according to documents filed in the US District Court for the District of Colorado.
Judge Nina Y. Wang on Friday canceled a jury trial that was scheduled to begin Oct.15 after the defendants, Carie and Jon Hallford, separately notified the court that they’ve reached resolutions with the government.
