Fulton Bank NA will pay $750,000 to settle allegations it failed to protect the personal information of nearly 112,000 mortgage customers in a July 2022 data breach, under a deal given final approval by a federal court.
Each bank customer whose information was exposed will be eligible for up to $5,000 in reimbursement for extraordinary losses arising from the breach, $112.50 for lost time responding to it, and $150 for ordinary losses, according to a settlement filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
