Fred Meyer Workers Get Final Court Nod on $3 Million Settlement

Fred Meyer Stores Inc., a Kroger Co. subsidiary, agreed to pay $3 million to end a lawsuit claiming the company failed to pay employees all wages owed to them due to widespread errors stemming from its payroll system.

Judge Marco A. Hernández of the US District Court for the District of Oregon gave final approval to the settlement agreement, which covers a class of more than 22,000 Fred Meyer workers employed in Oregon since September 2022, on Wednesday.
