The EEOC filed a lawsuit against Fred Meyer Stores Inc., a subsidiary of national supermarket chain Kroger, for allegedly allowing a male employee to sexually harass female coworkers over a period of years, the agency said Tuesday.
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission said the harassment included wolf-whistling, leering, and degrading sexual comments about their bodies and appearance, as well as groping one female co-worker in the workplace. The case is EEOC v. Fred Meyer Stores, E.D. Wash., No. 4:24-cv-5085, complaint 7/16/24.
