Fox News Gets Ex-Producer’s Sick Day Firing Suit Tossed for Good

A federal judge tossed a former Fox News journalist’s lawsuit over his firing Monday, finding the network did not unlawfully fire him over a sick day.

Jason Donner, who worked as a reporter and producer on Capitol Hill, sued in 2023, alleging he was fired for questioning Fox’s reporting on the 2020 presidential election and the January 6 riots. The court tossed those claims in 2024, saying his only claim “with legs” was that his firing after calling in sick violated DC’s sick leave law.
