Phreesia Inc. must face a one-time sales director’s federal claims that she was harassed, demoted, excluded, and stripped of responsibilities, leaving her no choice but to resign, a Manhattan federal judge ruled.
Lisa Stashak alleges her compensation structure was radically altered starting in 2018, following a reorganization that saw the health-care technology company shed all other employees on its life science sales team who were age 40 or older. Stashak only survived those cuts because she was Phreesia’s most vital employee, having facilitated the company going public sooner than expected by making it roughly $186 million, the suit says.
