Former KPMG Employee’s Sex Discrimination Suit Nixed by NY Court

A former KPMG LLP associate failed to show the company discriminated against and fired him because he’s a male with childcare responsibilities, a New York state appellate court ruled.

The New York Supreme Court First Appellate Department affirmed a lower court order from January dismissing Boris Pogil’s case against his former employer, saying he “failed to show that he was treated differently from similarly situated female employees.”

Pogil, a former senior associate and acting manager for KPMG’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice, claimed the company discriminated against him and treated him differently than other female employees when he requested accommodations ...
