Former Helios & Matheson CEO Must Remain Detained Until Trial

Theodore Farnsworth—the former Helios & Matheson Analytics Inc. CEO accused misleading investors about MoviePass—will remain in custody pending his criminal fraud trial in Miami next year after displaying a “marked disregard” for law enforcement and the court.

Farnsworth “consistently violated his conditions of release in a manner of a person that does not believe the rules apply to him,” Judge Robert N. Scola Jr. said.

The US District Court for the Southern District of Florida filed an order revoking his pretrial release on Wednesday.
