Former CBS Employees Fail to Revive Age Discrimination Lawsuit

CBS Broadcasting Inc. won’t face reinstated claims that age bias played a role in the transfer of 23 former employees to a different company as part of a sale of its Television City operations, a federal appeals court said.

CBS provided “legitimate, nondiscriminatory reasons” for both the transfer of the employees and for their exclusion from a voluntary buyout, the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit said Tuesday in an unpublished ruling.
