Ex-Amazon Finance Director Sues Over Alleged Sex, Age Bias (1)

A former Amazon.com Inc. finance director says the online retailer engaged in sex and age bias when it fired her and replaced her with a substantially younger male.

Emily Peltz—a 65-year-old female who worked for Amazon for over 15 years—alleges her supervisor treated other substantially younger male workers more favorably and pushed for them to get promotions that weren’t supported for performance reasons, according to the lawsuit filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.
