Ford Hit With Worker’s Suit Over Federal Medical Leave Rights

Ford Motor Co. is facing a lawsuit by a worker who says the car maker fired him after he took leave to treat multiple illnesses, interfering with his rights under federal family and medical leave law.

Robert Miller alleges that after being employed by Ford for over 10 years, he developed serious health issues including Covid-19, pneumonia, and other illnesses that required him to be absent from work and the company fired him without providing protected leave, according to the complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
