Ford Defeats Suit Over Lack of Warranty for Cooling System Pump

Ford Motor Co. convinced a federal judge to grant summary judgment on a plaintiff’s consumer protection claims in a suit alleging the company improperly failed to provide a warranty for a cooling pump.

The claims fell under a safe harbor that limits the scope of liability under California’s unfair competition law, the US District Court for the Central District of California said March 28.
