Footwear Retailer Rack Room Hit With Customer Data Sharing Suit

A group of California customers of Rack Room Shoes sued the footwear chain, alleging tools built into its website assists Meta Platforms and other third parties in gathering their personally identifiable information, including email addresses and search queries.

Rack Room allegedly integrates a Meta tracking tool known as the Facebook Tracking Pixel in its website, as well as a tool from Attentive meant to link behavioral data to personal information, according to the lawsuit filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
