Folgers Pushes for Coffee-Quantity Lawsuits to Go to Ohio

J.M. Smucker Co. and its Folgers Coffee Co. unit asked a panel of federal judges to send suits over the yield of ground coffee in Folger canisters to Northern Ohio, where the companies are headquartered, if it decides they should be combined at all.

Consumers in would-be class suits allege the Folgers labels overstate the number of cups each canister will make. Last month, consumers in two suits in the Central District of California asked the panel to send five pending actions there.
