Florida, Texas Seek to Block New Biden Gun Dealer Rule (1)

Attorneys General in Florida and Texas separately sued the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives on Wednesday to halt a new Biden administration rule expanding government oversight of gun sellers.

Florida AG Ashley Moody says the rule extends beyond the ATF’s stated goal of implementing the 2022 Bipartisan Safer Communities Act.

“Sensing an opportunity, the Biden Administration now seeks to exploit the minor changes to federal law enacted in the BSCA to implement President Biden’s preferred policies by executive fiat,” the complaint says.
