Hot sauce purveyor “Florida Man’s Lunacy” is accusing a competing company, “Florida Man Hot Sauce,” of infringing its rights to its Floridian branding.
Gainesville-based Hogtown Seasonings LLC sued Tampa-based rival condiment companies Redacted Hot Sauce LLC, Florida Man Hot Sauce Company LLC, and the two companies’ manager, in the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida, according to a complaint filed Wednesday.
Hogtown Seasonings says since 2019 it has sold hot sauces named “Florida Man’s Lunacy,” which it trademarked in Florida. Hogtown owns and operates “FloridaManHotSauce.com,” where users are directed to a website selling Florida Man’s Lunacy sauces. ...
