The Florida Supreme Court has rejected a bar passage carve-out for out-of-state lawyers taking Sunshine State government legal jobs.
Attorney General James Uthmeier’s proposed rule change, denied by the justices on Monday, would have let out-of-state lawyers practice in government jobs for up to three years without taking the bar. The justices said the government will have to fit within the smaller window provided by the rules.
