Florida Justices Pave Way for GOP to Draw New Congressional Map

The Florida Supreme Court tossed a challenge to Republicans’ plan to redraw the state’s congressional lines, clearing the way for Gov. Ron DeSantis and legislators to leap into the national gerrymandering fray.

The unanimous court issued an order Friday rejecting a petition to preemptively stop a special legislative session aimed at squeezing more Republican seats from the state’s 28 districts.
