Florida homeowners allege in a proposed class action that the state’s Department of Commerce and its homeowner assistance fund program discriminate on the basis of race.

The program “systematically” discriminated against White homeowners when providing Covid-19 relief, according to the complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Florida.
