Florida County, Ex-Worker Settle Several Discrimination Claims

Broward County, Fla., and a former analyst at its wastewater department agreed to end litigation after reaching a settlement over the county’s alleged failure to provide a nearby restroom accommodating the worker’s ulcerative colitis while he worked in the field.

The parties moved to dismiss the case with prejudice, according to their joint stipulation filed Sept. 26 in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
