Five Guys Workers Win $1.2 Million Wage Deal Nod on Fifth Try

Five Guys Enterprises LLC and workers who say the burger and fries restaurateur violated state labor laws may move forward with the fifth version of a $1.2 million settlement nearly three years after a federal judge in California rejected their first attempt.

The chain’s most recent deal provides an estimated $760,000 for more than 2,000 California workers, with the remainder going to attorneys’ fees, a class representative award, and other litigation costs, the US District Court for the Eastern District of California said.
