Commercial fishing businesses filed a proposed class action against a company whose pipeline allegedly leaked crude oil in the Gulf of Mexico, off the coast of Plaquemines Parish, La.
Sharkco Seafood Int’l LLC and KEB LLC say that as much as 1.1 million gallons of crude oil may have leaked into the Gulf of Mexico “as of Thursday morning, Nov. 16.” Third Coast Infrastructure LLC filed a report with the Natural Resources Conservation Service after noticing a pressure anomaly in its pipeline, the complaint, filed with the US District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana Nov. 22, said.
