First Circuit judges were skeptical Monday that Armslist.com can’t be sued in New Hampshire after the online marketplace allegedly facilitated a gun sale in the state that led to the shooting of a former Boston police officer.
“Your client does have a business model that relies on local sales,” said Judge Julie Rikelman to Armslist LLC attorney Andrew Hamilton.
Gun vendors and buyers who find each other on the site and then conduct a sale offline “aren’t actions Armslist is taking in the state,” Hamilton replied.
