A nurse who was fired for refusing to vaccinate herself against Covid-19 was unable to convince a federal appeals court Wednesday to give her religious bias lawsuit against her ex-employer a second chance.
Alexandra Melino was unable to refute that Boston Medical Center would have suffered an undue hardship had it allowed her to remain employed while unvaccinated, according to an opinion. The US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit affirmed a lower court’s grant of summary judgment to the hospital and dismissed Melino’s religious discrimination suit.
