Fiji Water Hits Coffee Company With Trademark Infringement Suit

Fiji Water Company alleges a coffee brand is trying to piggy-back on the fame and goodwill of the trademarked bottled water it has been selling since the 1990s, in a federal lawsuit.

Kevin Dean Morrison sells “Fiji Coffee” and hopes to release an alcohol-based “Fijitini” drink and a “Fiji Cocoa” beverage in the future, according to the complaint filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of California. Fiji alleges that on his website, Morrison promotes a video that shows the Fijian Islands and the tag “The World’s Finest Water.”
