Fetish-Porn Site Hit With Privacy Suit Over Google Info-Sharing

Fetish-porn website Kink.com disclosed the video-watching histories of its users to Google LLC in violation of the Video Privacy Protection Act, a proposed federal class action said.

Two anonymous plaintiffs alleged that Kink.com incorporated online tracking tools from Google on its website, allowing the online advertising giant to collect information arising from visitors’ interactions there, including the pornographic videos they watched or requested.

The VPPA was passed to prevent the disclosure and aggregation of data related to consumers’ viewing habits, according to a complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
