Female Robert Half Executive Loses Sex Bias, Retaliation Trial

Robert Half International Inc. prevailed on claims by a female vice president that she was denied promotion, demoted, and otherwise mistreated—forcing her to quit—because she is a woman and complained about discrimination.

Kelee Williams established during an eight-day bench trial that some of the employment actions identified in her lawsuit were adverse enough to violate Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, US District Court for the Northern District of California Magistrate Judge Kandis A. Westmore said Wednesday. But the former vice president of managed business services failed to link those adverse actions to her sex, Westmore said.
