Female Managing Director Sues Grant Thornton Over Pay Bias

Grant Thornton Advisors LLC has been hit with a federal lawsuit from an employee alleging violation of the Equal Pay Act.

Lisa Kaestle says Grant Thornton for pays her less than male colleagues performing substantially similar work.

“Defendant has paid the five male employees employed in the AAS Managing Director position significantly higher compensation than Plaintiff,” the complaint, filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, says.

Kaestle seeks monetary damages for the pay disparity between herself and her male counterparts, including the entire amount of the pay gap, liquidated damages, reasonable attorneys’ fees, and costs. ...
