Female Amazon Executive Loses Sex, Pay Bias Suit Again (Correct)

Amazon.com Inc. and a related company defeated for a second time a female former executive’s lawsuit alleging sex discrimination, pay bias, and retaliation.

The ruling by the US District Court for the Central District of California again stressed the lack of “specific details” regarding the alleged discrimination, including information supporting an inference that the cited employment actions occurred “because of” the woman’s protected status. But because she may be able to fix the suit’s shortcomings, she can file a third amended complaint by Jan. 19 if she wants, the court said.
