Northwestern University employees challenging their retirement plan fees in the U.S. Supreme Court received support from law professors, a labor union, the federal government, and others in their bid to revive an Employee Retirement Income Security Act lawsuit.
The briefs, filed Sept. 9 and 10, urge the court to reverse a 2020 decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit that rejected April Hughes’ ERISA lawsuit.
