FedEx Settles Bias Suit That Once Had $366 Million Price Tag

FedEx Corporate Services Inc. and a former company manager claiming pervasive race-based discrimination and retaliation have settled a case involving one of the largest-ever jury verdicts ever won by a worker suing over racial bias.

Plaintiff Jennifer Harris on Tuesday notified the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas that the parties had reached a settlement “of all claims in this matter.” The notice included no details about the settlement of the case, in which Harris won a $366 million jury award that was subsequently cut down to roughly $249,000.
