FedEx Hit With Biometric Suit Over Worker Fingerprint Scans (1)

FedEx Ground Package System Inc. collected and disclosed the biometric information of warehouse workers without their consent in violation of the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, a proposed federal class action said.

The parcel delivery service required workers at its Illinois facilities to allow their fingerprints to be scanned when they clocked in and out of work as part of the company’s timekeeping system, according to the complaint filed by Monday by former FedEx package handler Nataiyah Hill.
