Federal Workers Lose Over Mooted Vaccine Mandate Challenge

Federal contractors and employees who challenged executive orders mandating COVID-19 vaccination have a moot case, the Ninth Circuit said on Tuesday, dismissing their claims that the mandates violated their religious freedoms.

David Donovan and other federal workers brought their lawsuit against the government in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Washington.

They alleged that vaccination requirements violated the Religious Freedom and Restoration Act, the major questions doctrine and general constitutional federalism, according to court filings.
