Federal Judge Set to Enter New Plea in Drunken-Driving Case (1)

A Michigan federal judge on leave from the bench following his drunken-driving arrest is set to enter a new plea next month to resolve his case, according to court records and a county prosecutor.

Judge Thomas L. Ludington will enter his plea on April 8 in the 90th District Court in Emmet County, more than two hours north of his courtroom. He was charged with two misdemeanors, operating a vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of 0.17 or more and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, following his arrest last October. He previously pleaded not guilty.
