FDIC Didn’t Discriminate Against Ex-DEI Chief, Court Says

The former head of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s diversity-and-inclusion office failed to show he was pushed out of the role because he is Hispanic, a federal judge ruled, granting summary judgment to the FDIC.

Segundo Pereira sued the FDIC in 2020 in the US District Court for the District of Columbia under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, alleging he was reassigned on the basis of his race.
