Verizon Sued for Racial Discrimination, Wrongful Termination

An ex-employee of Verizon has sued the company for wrongful termination and discrimination based on race and national origin in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Faiq Farooqui, who is of Pakistani descent, sued Verizon Communications, Inc. aka Cellco Partnership d/b/a Verizon Wireless, LLC (collectively, “Verizon”) on Monday in the United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina.
