Subversive Tools Inc. has sued a competing agricultural tool company for allegedly copying the diagonal design of its plant cultivation trays.
Subversive says its Winstrip air pruning nursing tray has a distinctive and popular design is protected by a design patent, according to its trade dress complaint filed against Bootstrap Farmer LLC in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York on Monday.
