A group of farmers and nonprofits sued the Trump administration Thursday alleging the US Department of Agriculture unlawfully withheld grant funds appropriated by Congress under the Inflation Reduction Act.
The complaint filed in the US District Court for the District of Columbia said the USDA canceled grants to farmers under a program to install solar panels, and the agency withheld Forest Service grants to a pair of nonprofits supporting tree planting in undeserved communities.
