Family Court Judge Training Suit Denied By Ninth Circuit Panel

California Chief Justice Patricia Guerrero is immune as the leader of the state’s court policymaking body from a lawsuit seeking a court order for more training of family court judges, Ninth Circuit judges held.

A suit against Guerrero as the head of the California Judicial Council would be equivalent to a suit against the state, wrote US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit Judges Susan P.
