Facebook Inc. Oct. 23 won dismissal of a potential $15 billion class action lawsuit accusing the company of secretly tracking the Internet activity of its users after they log off (In re Facebook Internet Tracking Litig., N.D. Cal., 5:12-md-02314-EJD, 10/23/15).
U.S. District Judge Edward J. Davila of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California agreed with Facebook’s argument that case should be dismissed because subscribers didn’t specify how they were harmed.
