Meta Platforms Inc. is protected from claims that it’s responsible for Facebook content that incited violence in Myanmar by the Communications Decency Act, the Ninth Circuit said.
The US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit on Tuesday affirmed the dismissal of a proposed class action filed by two anonymous members of the Muslim Rohingya community—a minority population indigenous to western Myanmar who have been subject to persecution—displaced from their homes following attacks by military and civilian forces.
