An explosion from a homemade bomb was reported Wednesday at a state courthouse on the Central Coast of California, leaving several people injured and the court closed.
The Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Office received a call at 8:48 a.m. related to the explosion at the Santa Maria Courthouse, according to posts on X by spokesperson Raquel Zick. An adult man was detained shortly after, according to the local sheriff’s office.
