Experian Settles Claims Over Customer Placed on Sanctions List

Experian Information Solutions Inc. has agreed to settle claims brought as a proposed class action by a customer who alleged that the credit reporting agency wrongly associated him, through an error, with a federal sanctions list that targets narcotics traffickers and terrorists.

All matters in the case have been “compromised and settled,” according to the notice of settlement filed with US District Court for the Eastern District of New York on March 28.
