A former employee is suing Phillips Nizer LLP, alleging the law firm discriminated and retaliated against him after requesting a reasonable accommodation of unpaid leave to address his disability.
The former worker, referred to as John Doe, says he was terminated shortly after requesting an accommodation of unpaid leave to address an episode related to his mental disability, according to his complaint filed July 18 with the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
